Hardship Loan Modification
Do You Qualify?

by Loan Modification Expert - Dan North

Hardship Loan Modification does not need to be a long drawn out process. With the recent legislation negotiators now have enforcement lines to accelerate the Mortgage Loan Modification Process.

Lenders are now required to respond within 10 days to all correctly formatted written requests for mortgage loan modifications.

All fully completed Hardship Loan Modification submission packages (this means a submission package that has all lender required documents and forms correctly filled out and submitted as well as all HAMP required documents and forms correctly filled out and submitted) that are fully eligible for the Making Home Affordable Modification Program must be approved by the lender within 30 days of receipt of the complete package.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Guidelines are mandatory and enforceable on lenders through Freddie Mac which is the enforcement arm of the US Treasury for all the Government Making Home Affordable Programs.

FHA and VA Loans now have mandatory Government Hardship Loan Modification Programs in place and negotiators have been provided a direct line with Freddie Mac and VA to accelerate mortgage loan modifications.
